To configure this email client with the POP before SMTP relay:
- Open
Mozilla Thunderbird v1.0.
- In the menu bar,
select Tools and click Accounts Settings.

- Click on Add Accounts.
- On the Account Wizard, select Email Account and click on Next.
- On the second page of the wizard, fill up the relevant fields,
and click Next.
- In the form that shows:
- Choose POP as your
incoming server
- Enter the Mail Server
Name for both Incoming and Outgoing Mail
- you can choose to
check or uncheck the box that will help you store your mail in a local
folder or in another which you must specify.
- Click Next to proceed
- In the next page, type in your Incoming Server name and click
Next,
- On the next page, type in your account name and click Next,
- On the last page of the Account Wizard, check if you have typed
the correct information and click Finish.

You can set SMTP Auth relay right after your email account is created
(steps 1- 9) as it is described above. To set SMTP Auth, do the following:
- Select Accounts Settings
from the Tools drop-down menu in the menu bar.
- On the
Account Settings window, select the Account name and click on Outgoing
Server(SMTP) and check if the relevant information is correct, and click
OK.
